A new trend: Granny’s dresser

Some trends are just around the corner .... of your room. And finally the new 2020 trend is already in our home: the granny’s chest of drawers.

The one that our mum or granny gifted us, or that we bought for few in a second hand shop.
We used to see it in their bedroom but now the time is changed and it deserves to be placed in evidence. In the hallway, in the living room or under the window. You can add a marble top, change handles, colour or legs.
I love dressers, above all the old one. I have one in Casa Coniglio really big coming from an ancient grocery. Lovely!
And I love them because you can hide stuff inside, the room is always tidy, and they have this amazing top on which you can display. Really a good thing for an interior stylist like I am, trust me.

The fact that you can display on it adds at the dressers a particularity or, as I use to say, zest. You know, home is more.
You can display a lamp, a mirror, your plants, books or candle holders. The dresser becomes one of a kind of your room.
You can turn it in a bar carts or in a small library with your favourite armchair alongside.

I love mine. It’s not antique as I desire but I customized it.
I changed the handles. When we rented the house it was placed in the hallway, in a dark corner. Now it is in the living room, in a bright location, and it’s where my plants can try to grow up.
I like this new trend. This 2020 started not in a warmy way but now I appreciate it for these cozy and lovely surprise.
