Here we are & here we will stay.
For the first year, probably, we will spent our holiday in UK.
Due the pandemic we haven’t organized a long trip as usually and probably we will visit the countryside riding our Harley.
We are lucky & we are safe: this is the most important this summer. And we never explore the countryside till now so it is our great opportunity!
And there is another thing because of we are lucky this summer : we have a tiny and cozy balcony with an amazing view.
Thus I decided to refurbish it. Till now, as you saw on my Instagram profile in the last months, there were second hand furniture or uprecycle ones. I was very proud of my work with that tropical and wild style I created. But overflowing.
My before & after
Few weeks ago I decided to take charge of the situation. I wanted it as well as with a cocooning effect but with more space to stay outdoor, having breakfast & leisure time.
First of all I removed the fruit crate - with which Paul used to carry my vegetables during this quarantine - and then the small table - made by me with a Flying Tiger Copenhagen metal basket & a wall clock - and I bought a small Ikea garden table in the same colour of my hammock. This is one of my styling tip I want to share with you: if you want to make a space looks bigger you have to choice objects in similar colours.
Then I well displayed my plants with new vases, I added a small rug and a couple of cushions.
With small changes the balcony has become the best place of our home. And, finally, we are spending a lot of time in our precious new room.
Often I used it as my studio, working outdoor. It’s so inspiring!
I’m so happy to have taken this decision, and … see you in my tiny, cozy & cocooning balcony!
